Happy Christmas in Finland 雪を満喫～フィンランド編

ドイツからフィンランドに行きました。ヘルシンキで乗り継ぎ、ロヴァニエミにつくと一面雪でビックリしました。ここには本物のサンタグロースに会いにきました。

We flew from Frankfurt to Rovaniemi via Helsinki, Finland.  Plenty of snow!  We came here for meeting the real Santa Clause.🎅

ヘルシンキに着いた日はクリスマスイブで、みんなでご馳走を食べました。スモークサーモン、ローストビーフなどなど。ジュースとデザートはあまりおいしくなくて残念でした。

It was Christmas Eve when we arrived at Helsinki airport.  We spent our night at airport hotel with lovely Christmas buffet.

翌日、乗り継ぎ便が夕方だったので、ヘルシンキの街に行きました。ほとんどのお店がお休みで、人も少なくて、しかもすごく寒い。一日中3℃くらいでした。アイススケートをしたかったけど、お父さんに止められました。港のクリスマスマーケットに焚き火があって、暖まりながらホットチョコレートを飲みました。甘くて上の泡がふわふわで、とってもおいしかったです。

We went around the city of Helsinki on Christmas Day.  Too cold and few people.  We had hot chocolate near the bonfire.  Sweet, creamy and yummy!

ロヴァニエミにつくともっと寒くて、窓ガラスまで冷たくてビックリしました。バスを待っている間、二人でたくさん雪遊びしました。大きな雪だるまが作れたよ。

It was much colder in Rovaniemi.  My brother and I played in the snow at the airport entrance.😁

翌日は朝からトナカイツアーに行きました。でも朝はずっと真っ暗で、9時頃にようやく明るくなってきました。トナカイは角があって大きくて、とても強そうでした。ソリをひくのはみんなオスで、1頭で大人二人を載せたソリをひいていました。

We enjoyed the raindeer tour.  A male raindeer can pull a sledge with two adults.  It was about - 3℃ at that morning.  We wore snowsuits under the thermal clothing which we borrowed, nevertheless we were almost frozen!

一面雪景色でとてもきれいだったけど、しばらくすると退屈になって、外の雪をすくったり、木の枝に触って雪を落として遊んだりしました。ツアーガイドのおじさんは厳しかったけど、お兄さんは優しくて、一緒に遊んでくれました。すごく寒くて、小屋で暖炉で暖まりながら温かいジュースを飲めたのが幸せでした。

Even though the beautiful snowscape, I became bored because I had nothing to do.  I played with brunches and snow which I could catch from the sledge.  After the sledge, we had some hot juice which is called "Gnogi" in a hut.  We felt warm and confortable with bonfire.

ツアーのあと、本物のサンタさんに会うためにサンタクロース村に行きました。サンタさんに会いたい人がたくさんいて、すごく待ったのに、握手と写真撮影しかできませんでした。サンタさんはヒゲが超もじゃもじゃで、日本語がしゃべれたよ！サンタさんのオフィスを出たら、15時なのにもう真っ暗でした。

I met the real Santa Clause after the tour.  The Santa Village is in front of the tour office.  There were many people who wanted to see him, that's why we had to wait almost two hours!  Santa can speak Japanese and he said "Konnichiwa" and "Arigato" to us directly!  We felt so happy to see him!

翌日は朝のんびりしてから博物館に行きました。オーロラの映画が凄かったです！（残念ながら旅行中に本物のオーロラは見られませんでした。）環境問題を扱う展示には、体験型のものが多くて、ゲームもあって面白かったです。お昼ご飯に行った中華料理屋さんに、なぜかお寿司もありました！この日は最高-15℃で、玄関のドアノブを手袋でつかんだら、くっついてとれなくなりました😱

スーパーでは「トナカイシチュー」や「ムース肉のサラミ」を売っていて、お母さんが面白がって買ってきました。シチューにはマッシュポテトとベリーソースがついてたけど、ベリーソースは不評でした。肉好きな智はシチューは気に入ってたけど、ぼく（聖）にしてみると両方とも臭みがありました😔

We visited the Natural History Museum next day, because the highest temperature would be - 15℃ and our parents decided not to go skiing.  There is the aurora theater there.  And we enjoyed many kinds of hands-on exhibition like games.  We ate Sushi at Chinese restaurant at lunch, and my mother bought some local food including raindeer and elk meat.

ロヴァニエミからまたヘルシンキに戻って、久しぶりに水族館や博物館、美術館にも行きました。半日のバスツアーも。水族館は、化石の発掘体験もできて、日本のより面白かった。デンキナマズが発電するところも見られたし、テッポウウオの餌やりもワクワクしたし。博物館と美術館は、、正直子どもにはどうでもよかったけど、博物館にあったサウナの展示は、お父さんが楽しんでいました。モザンビークには○○ミュージアムとかが全然ないから、お父さんとお母さんは楽しんでいました。

We moved back to Helsinki, and enjoyed aquarium and museums.  Actually I'd rather like to visit world heritage island, but it was too cold to stay outside all day.  The aquarium was quite nice.  They have some electronic eels and archerfish.  

ヘルシンキにはラーメン屋さんがありました！久しぶりの、インスタントじゃない、お店ラーメン。正直物足りない量だったけど、一杯14€もするので、おかわりはできませんでした😢日本のお友達がヘルシンキに旅行で来ていたので、一緒にフィンランド料理も食べました。サーモンとトナカイ肉と謎のデザート（匂いがスモークサーモンのバニラアイス。ソースでどうにか食べました）。料理はともかく、懐かしい人に会えて、学校や町内の様子を聞けたのが楽しかったです🎶

There were some Ramen restaurant at Helsinki center!  Quite expensive and unsatisfied quantity, but it was a real Ramen!  We had a lovely Finnish dinner with our friend family who were neighbors in Tokyo.  We enjoyed not only tasty meal but also a lot of news.😁

帰りは朝4時起きでフランクフルト行きの飛行機に乗って、イスタンブール空港で年越ししました。お友達が日本から持ってきてくれたカップそば、ありがたく空港でいただきました😂

We flew back to Mozambique via Frankfurt, Istanbul and Johannesburg.  We were waiting for our connecting fright with Japanese noodle at the moment of new year beginning.

モザンビークに帰ってきたのは元旦のお昼過ぎ。久しぶりに暑い夏に戻ってきて、なんだか変な感じでした。

最後に、ぼくらの感想を一言でいうと

聖「雪いっぱいで最高だった！」

智「寿司とお肉がいっぱい食べられてよかった！」

We were back to Maputo airport in the early afternoon of January 1st.  We felt uncomfortable with humid and high temperature...our body had got used to the cold weather.
